Once Upon A Time

This is how the best stories begin. Recently I had the pleasure to host the Princess and thee Frog pink carpet event. This was a day for girls, young and old to dress up like the princesses that they are on the inside. From babies that were a couple months old to mothers with their children, it was a beautiful sight to see . Anyone can be a princess if you just believe and Princess Tiana is proof of that.
But back to reality, there is a such thing as "happily ever after" and I can attest to this. I received the best Christmas present ever this year, my acceptance letter from Spelman College came on Christmas Eve...i know lucky me.
This marks the beginning to the rest of my life. Education is important to a successful life, you cannot reach your highest potential without first pushing yourself to the limit academically. I had the pleasure to help educate some young men from the Anointed Word Christian Schools International about how a lady wants to be treated. We came to an understanding that they should treat ladies the way they treat their mothers (BK was already up on his game, he was the perfect gentleman).
Just remember that Happily Ever After begins with you!!!

And the Winner Is

Hello, my name is Candi Nicole Gaul, your new Miss Black Georgia Teen. I am more than enthusiastic about my reign! I have been doing pageants since i was knee high to a duck, but i know this title will be different than the others.

At seventeen years young I am in my last year of high school (Yaaaaa). In the fall of 2010 I plan on attending Spelman College where I will major in sociology and minor in environmental studies on the pre-med track. After graduating from Spelman my next step is Vanderbilt medical school, and then the Peace Corps.

Upon describing me, people can not seem to escape the word unique.I am an individual and I refuse to be another sterotypical teenager. This is why I am promoting my platform: "Abstinence, it's not easy, but neither are you." I have seen too many of my girlfriends bogged down with the stress of "what if" when it comes to STD's and pregnancy alike. I aspire to decrease the teen pregnancy rate in our Georgia youth.

I am honored about the year to come. My mind is overflowing with lots of ideas for impacting my community!
